Christmas stockings.....

Over the weekend, I made my two boys new stockings for Christmas.  I have a few Christmas projects I would love to find the time to finish in time.  But at this time of year there are not enough hours in the day - I think most women can relate to that statement!  Not only work and deadlines, but the additional Christmas shopping and preparations.  I still find the hardest part of Christmas is thinking of what to buy for gifts.
You can't see the quilting on them in this particular photograph, but they are quilted with "curlz" pantograph in a small 5 inch size with gold thread.  Both sides of each stocking are quilted, and then bound all around.  You would not think that they would take too long to make, but the quilting alone took almost as long as a double quilt !!   The quilting is quite close together - perfect scale for these smaller projects.   I took them home and the boys loved them.  Now to buy things to stuff them with....
