J-Quilts blog

Merry Christmas to everyone.  I hope that you are all having a relaxing and stress free time over the Christmas holidays.  Most women out there would probably agree, that "stress free" does not really enter the equation over Christmas if you are cooking for lots of people and all of the pre-Christmas organisation needed!
We normally like to have Christmas day all to ourselves with our two boys, but this year, we had my husbands Dad and his wife pop in for a couple of hours or three on Christmas morning, which was nice to get together for a chat, and now our boys are a little older, it was not quite so manic opening presents - although I was still rushing in the shower about 20 minutes before they arrived !!
I have a strange little addiction to buying storage containers for all of my fabric and sewing nick nacks and these just caught my eye a few days before Christmas on ebay and I was pleasantly surprised that they turned up on Christmas Eve !!  They are metal cake tins by Emma Bridgewater, and perfect for my storage area filled with little cubby holes and cupboards, and a reasonable size for fat quarters and unfinished projects.
When things are in boxes, they are easier to access - the problem is remembering what I have put in each one !!!
Perhaps I will give some thought of labelling things up in the New Year !!
